(指著上台處的門大聲道)I』m not afraid of you!
(內砸出一臉盆,J接住當成盾牌護著頭)Then,I』m afraid of whom?
My wife Lunch is the most famous woman in the neighbor-hood.She is braver than me,

場景：夏天，綠樹，青草，白柵欄。丑小鴨躲在模擬的蛋殼內，鴨媽媽在蛋殼前面做孵蛋的樣子，另外4隻鴨蛋圍住鴨媽媽，趴在地上成圓弧狀。

音樂：（有鳥叫，知了叫等）及舞檯布景組合出一幅恬靜、溫暖的鄉村夏日風光圖。

畫外音：It is warm, A mother ck lies in the stook, waiting for the birth of her children.（太陽暖烘烘的，鴨媽媽卧在稻草堆里，等她的孩子們出世。）

鴨媽媽：Well, my babies, come out quickly please. I』m tired.（伸懶腰）哎，我的孩子們，你們怎麼還不出世呀，可把媽媽累壞了！

鴨媽媽撫摸著鴨蛋，突然，一隻鴨蛋動了一下。小鴨1站了起來，看了一下周圍的世界說：

Oh, what a beautiful world!「哦，多麼美麗的世界啊！」

接著，另外3隻小鴨從蛋殼里逐漸在媽媽的撫摸中鑽出來，東張西望，看到媽媽後，驚喜地跑過去，

喊：Hi, mum! / Hi, Mummy!媽媽！媽媽！………

小鴨4：（指著大蛋）Mum, what』s this ? Why not crack? 咦，媽媽，這是誰？還不出來呀？

第一幕
[在很久很久以前，有一片美麗的大樹林，樹林里住許多小動物，有小鳥、小猴、杜鵑、松鼠、小鹿，還有驕傲的小兔子，和勤墾的烏龜。有一天，在小河邊上，發生了一件非常有趣的事情：早晨和往常一樣，安靜而明朗]
1、（兔子出場：一蹦一跳的）
兔子：我是一隻小兔子，長著四條腿，跑起路來可快了。哈，今天天氣真好，藍天高高白雲飄飄，太陽公公在微笑，（喊）小夥伴們，大家一起來玩吧！
眾動物：來啦——（出場：跑跳步）（圍圈做游戲）
2、（烏龜出場：慢騰騰地）
烏龜：我是一隻小烏龜，今天是媽媽的生日，我要趕快去采一束鮮花送給我的媽媽。哎呦,哎呦!（一不小心翻了過來）
第二幕
（小兔子瞧見烏龜）
兔子：烏龜，烏龜，你在干什麼？
烏龜：我在跑步。
兔子：（哈哈大笑）哈哈哈，你也會跑步，咱們來賽跑，好嗎？（烏龜看了看兔子，沒理它。兔子是存心逗烏龜的，見它不理睬，更來勁兒了，唱道：）
烏龜烏龜爬爬，一早出門採花，烏龜烏龜走走，傍晚還在門口。哈哈哈——
眾動物：烏龜烏龜爬爬，一早出門採花，烏龜烏龜走走，傍晚還在門口。哈哈哈——
烏龜（生氣了）：有什麼了不起的，誰說我跑的慢？賽就賽！
兔子：那好，看誰先跑到那邊山腳的大樹底下。
（音樂）這一下，小河邊可就熱鬧起來了，
猴子裁判：預備——颶（哨子）
眾動物：加油——加油——
（兔子跑了老遠，回頭一看）
兔子：嘻嘻，烏龜才跑了那麼一點點，我在這兒歇會兒，等它跑到這兒，不，那兒，我再跑，冠軍也是我的。（還得意地唱起歌）烏龜烏龜爬呀爬，笑掉我的大門牙！
（兔子把身子一歪，腳一翹，眼一閉，不一會兒，竟呼呼地睡了。那烏龜爬呀爬，等到它爬到兔子身邊，已經累得不行了，真想停下來歇會兒）
烏龜：不行，我爬得慢，決不能歇。（它又堅持爬呀爬。）
過了很長很長時間，兔子醒了。（往後一看）
兔子：烏龜呢，怎麼還沒爬到這兒呀！（再往前一望），不得了，烏龜已經在大樹下了。
（兔子拚命地跑過去，可等它到了大樹下，烏龜已經在那兒等它了。）
眾動物：耶——（歡呼）烏龜勝利了，烏龜勝利了！
第三幕
（烏龜爬上領獎台，猴子裁判為它頒獎，長頸鹿為它送上一束鮮花，每位小動物為它送上一句祝賀的話。
烏龜：今天，我得了冠軍，心裡好高興，我要把這束花送給我媽媽，作為生日禮物，她一定會很高興的。
（小兔子在一旁，難為情地低下了頭）
旁白:驕傲使人落後,謙虛使人進步。小兔子吸取了足夠的教訓,從此每天起早訓練跑步,一點也不偷懶，終於在第45屆動物世錦賽跑步項目中得了第一。
